Common Goal Safeguarding

Our Commitment to Safeguarding

As a signatory to the International Safeguards for Children in Sport, Common Goal is committed to upholding the highest standards to protect children, young people, and vulnerable adults in football-related activities.

Safeguarding at Common Goal goes beyond child protection - it includes addressing sexual harassment, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), and ensuring fair and respectful environments across our entire Community, including our own staff and operations.

How We Safeguard

We uphold safeguarding across the Common Goal Community and within our own organisation through clear standards, consistent processes, and accessible reporting pathways.

Our approach is grounded in:

  • The Common Goal Community Pledge, which all member organisations commit to
  • Our Staff Code of Conduct, which sets expectations for behaviour within Common Goal
  • Our Safeguarding Policy and Procedures, which provide a shared framework for prevention, response, and accountability

To ensure that concerns can be raised safely and confidentially, we offer multiple reporting channels - including a dedicated reporting form on this website. This allows anyone to report safeguarding concerns or violations involving either Common Goal staff or representatives of community organisations.
