Vivianne Miedema

Advisory Board Member 

Vivianne is a well-known Dutch footballer who plays for the Netherlands National Team and Arsenal FC. She has found the back of the net more times than any other Dutch footballer — male or female, and it took her just 110 games to score 100 goals for the Gunners.  

Vivianne joined Common Goal in 2021, pledging 1% of her salary towards football for good programmes supporting young people in situations of violence around the world.  She is also an ambassador of WarChild. Vivianne also holds a master's in Business & Marketing and firmly believes that football should be used to tackle social issues and give people joy and safety all over the world.

Gorka Planchuelo Monnier

Football-nerd from age five, Gorka had the chance to bring his geekiest side to his workplace by joining Common Goal.

A few football games (injuries included) and readings on the beautiful game after, Gorka deeply believes that sport is a catalyst for social change that can benefit…everybody.

Iñigo Azcárate

Iñigo joined Common Goal with a focus on member and partner relations development.

He discovered his passion for football driven social change while working on a project in India after acquiring a degree in Business and Innovation in Madrid.

James Steven

James has had a passion for football for as long as he can remember with his favourite footballing memory being Manchester United’s treble-winning year in 1999.

Before joining Common Goal in 2023 as Head of Partnerships, he has worked with global, national and local brands and NGOs; most recently building transformational partnerships within the sport-for-good sector in London.

James’ personal driving force is to leave the world in a better place for his one-year-old son, Theo.

Jenny Franken

Jenny joined Common Goal as Partnerships Manager. Equipped with a passion for forging transformative partnerships, she aims to make a long-lasting impact.

Previously, she worked in the partnerships team of a London-based sport-for-development charity, creating better opportunities for youth growing up in poverty.

While growing up in England, Switzerland and Germany, her loyalty to 1.FC Köln has been a constant in her life.

Jérémy Houssin

Jérémy has an academic background in Engineering in Life Sciences and Economics of Sustainable Development. He joined Common Goal as the Environmental Lead. Before Common Goal, he spent over a decade as a Director in the Sustainability Advisory department of PwC France, aiming to drive strategic and operational changes with his clients and teams.

Jérémy believes in the power of football for social and environmental change. On a weekend, you’re likely to find him on the football or rugby pitch playing or supporting his kids, watching Biathlon or the Tour de France, and enjoying quality time with friends and family. He is an Olympique Lyonnais fan, hoping that the good times will come back, and he defends, with passion, every French club and national team playing on the international scene.

Jessica Broda

Jessica’s origin lies in Germany’s most exciting football region (DORTMUUUND!) which makes her naturally attracted to the game. With her obsession of budgets, forecasts and margins, she aims not only to change the world through football, but also through Excel. Though clearly with less talent, she also enjoys training her foreign language skills in the office thanks to our multilingual team. Outside Common Goal, you can probably find her enthusiastically cycling the Andes, the Alps or, more daringly, the streets of Berlin.

Joel Sanderson-Murray

Joel joined Common Goal in 2024 as the Social Media Manager having previously worked in similar roles within the football industry. 

A season-ticket holder at Anfield since 2005, Joel's first love is Liverpool Football Club, but he also holds an interest in German football and moved to Germany to ground-hop around as many stadiums as possible around the country.

Johannes Axster

Johannes is one of the original co-founders of streetfootballworld and now focuses on building institutional partnerships within our fundraising team.
With over 20 years of experience across different roles, he’s a long-time advocate of the Football for Good movement.
Off the clock, he’s either spending time with his multi-talented family or quietly dominating the local racket sports scene—usually before most people have had their first coffee.

Jürgen is streetfootballworld and Common Goal co-founder and CEO. 

He is a social entrepreneur with a passion for system change and a firm belief in the power of team play. He is also a proud SC Freiburg supporter.

Justus Kramer

Justus is a big football fan and supporter of SC Freiburg, even though he was born and raised in Berlin.

He studied Public and Non-Profit Management for his Bachelor's and Human Resources Management for his Master's. During this time, he lived three times in Spain and called it his favourite place to be.

For him Common Goal is perfect to combine his love for football with creating something with purpose.

Kami Mainkar

Kami joins us from Istanbul, Turkey where she worked at the United Nations Population Fund on sexual and reproductive health and rights with a focus on humanitarian conflict. She was born in India but has lived and worked in many countries including Germany.

In her free time, Kami likes to cuddle with other people's dogs. She doesn't have her own yet...and runs in Berlin hoping that common goal can have its own run club.

Katja Baier

Katja joined in 2018 as an intern as part of her Bachelor’s studies. As a passionate football fan, you will most likely find her at the stadium of 1. FC Magdeburg, watching the team lose their home games. Despite that, the atmosphere she experienced there made her believe in the power of this beautiful game on a global level.

Laura Lebens

With an academic background in International Economics and professional experience in development cooperation, Laura is passionate about promoting girls' and women’s rights, gender justice and sustainable development. She is a Senior Project Manager and joined Common Goal in 2023.

As a football enthusiast and former field hockey player, sport has always played a big part in her life. She strongly believes in the power of football to create meaningful social change, transform stereotypical gender norms and challenge patriarchal structures.

Laura Stolz

Laura joined Common Goal as Project Manager for Move For The Planet, following a winding path that finally led to her true passion: sport for good.
Having worn many professional hats, she now focuses on spreading the transformative power of sport across the globe.
A loyal VfL Bochum supporter, she knows a thing or two about resilience—and when not working, you’ll probably find her hiking boots-deep in nature.

Lukas Münker

Lukas has an academic background in political science and sociology with a special focus on Indian and European Politics.

Known for his defence on the pitch, he is not the kind of guy you want to have in front of you when trying a new trick you saw on YouTube. He will also school you in ping pong and throws a mean frisbee.

Luke Fairbairn

Luke is part of the Common Goal North America team. He is responsible for the design, facilitation, and implementation of Play Proud- Common Goal's LGBTQ+ inclusivity training program. Luke is responsible for the vetting and on-boarding of new Community Organizations as well as supporting with player acquisition in North America. Luke has been involved in the sport development space across many different roles as a program coordinator, event manager, and coach for a number of Common Goal's community organizations in North America. 

Luke is a box-to-box midfielder through and through; he is a team player and enjoys doing the hard work and getting stuck into the projects he works on.

Marcela Munoz

Marcela is our Membership Lead, looking after our industry members and making sure they feel the impact of their pledges. Proud Colombian and Latin American, Marcela joined our team in Berlin in 2020 after living in Cusco, Peru where she managed a non-profit organisation.

Although chances of finding her on a hike are higher than finding her on a pitch, she still enjoys celebrating wins, especially if it's for FC Barcelona or, of course, the Colombian national team.
